Summary

This one-and-a-half-day workshop offers a comprehensive guide to facilitating the ‘Tell It Like It Is’ sexual health and wellness education program. Participants will explore the significance of sexual health education, gain a deeper understanding of the history of sexuality and disability, and learn effective teaching and conversation strategies. They will also develop confidence and communication skills to engage in meaningful discussions on the topic of sexuality. Throughout the workshop, there will be opportunities to ask questions, navigate scenarios, and practice real-life conversation techniques. Whether you want to implement ‘Tell It Like It Is’ within your organization or simply learn more about the subject, this training is an excellent opportunity to enhance your expertise.

Attendees will receive several physical take-home resources and will also have access to the training slides, video links and all discussed resources. Notepads and pens will be provided, though you are welcome to use a laptop or tablet if you prefer.

A certificate of completion is available upon request for those who require it for work purposes.

  • Day 1: 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM (CST) Includes a morning break (coffee provided), an afternoon break (coffee provided), and a 1 hour lunch break (lunch not included).
  • Day 2: 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM (CST) Includes a morning break (coffee provided).
